Video Tutorial
Watch this short video to learn how you can add new game videos into Scout Elite Xpress from LiveBarn for film review, clip annotations, and highlights.
If you’d prefer to follow step-by-step instructions, please continue below.
Step 1: Download Videos from LiveBarn
Head over to LiveBarn and find the first video of the game that you’d like to upload. Using your Premium LiveBarn subscription, you can download full 30 minute video clips directly from website. Click the download button in the upper right corner of the LiveBarn video page. This will initiate a download of the video to your computer. Use the dropdown to navigate to the next video and repeat the process until you’ve downloaded all of the video segments that make up your full game.
Important Note: Sometimes LiveBarn cuts up the 30 minute video chunks into smaller segments. It is important that you check the duration of each video before you download. If the end of the current video does not reach the full duration of the 30 minute window that was selected in LiveBarn, you will need to jump to the end of that video and let it play until the next segment starts. Once the next segment starts you can download the segment just as you had above.
Step 2: Navigate to the Video Library
If you have not yet done so, point your browser to Scout Elite Xpress and Login. You will be brought to a page where you see all of your existing games. From here you can click on the button near the top of the grid to add a new game from your library. This will bring you to the Library page where you can see all of your uploaded videos. If you are elsewhere in the application, you can always click on the Video Library link in the navigation menu to get to this page.
Step 3: Upload Game Video Segments
To upload the video segments that you download directly from LiveBarn, click anywhere in the the box at the top of the page that says “Drop files here to upload”. Clicking on this will bring up an upload dialog where you can choose the game videos. Once selected, the videos will begin uploading into your account and, upon completion, will be added to the game library grid below.
Step 4: Create a New Game
Once the videos are added to the grid, you are ready to create a new game. If you don’t see a checkbox next to a video, that means that a Scout Elite Xpress Game has already been added that is using that video. Select the video(s) that you’d like to use as the source for your new game and click the button above to add a new game. This will bring up a dialog window where you can input the game information. If you pull your videos from Live Barn, Scout will try to pull out the time and the date automatically and order them chronologically. If they’re not in the correct order, you can use the arrows next to the video file names to move them up or down. Submitting this form will create the game and bring you directly to a page where you can begin to view and/or annotate your game.
