Scout Elite Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This policy describes how Scout Elite ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our web application Scout Elite Xpress (xpress.scout-elite.com), our website (scout-elite.com) and our mobile app Scout Elite Live (together, the "services").
Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address and password, or the information Google or Apple give us when you sign in with them (see "Sign in with Google" below). Scout Elite Live can be used without an account.
- Content you create: videos and clips you upload, reviews, reports, practice plans, playbooks, drills, rosters (player numbers and names), and the games you track and choose to publish or back up.
- Team information: the teams you join and their members' names and emails, visible to the team.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications in Scout Elite Live, a push token for your device, linked to your account.
- Usage information: which screens and features are used, with a random install ID, your account ID when signed in, the app version and the platform. We use Google Analytics to measure this, which uses cookies on our websites. In Scout Elite Live you can turn it off in Settings ("Share usage stats").
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data (device model, operating system, app version), sent without your name, email or account ID.
- Payments: when you buy a plan, our payment processor handles your card details. We receive only the status of your subscription, never your full card number.
Sign in with Google
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares the following with us, and nothing else:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture
We use this information only to:
- Create your Scout Elite account and sign you in.
- Show your name on your account and to teams you join.
- Contact you about your account at that email address.
- Use your Google profile picture as your Scout Elite profile picture, only if you choose to.
We do not ask for access to your Google Drive, Photos, contacts, calendar, Gmail or any other Google data. We do not sell information we receive from Google, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We share it only with the service providers that run Scout Elite for us (hosting, database and sign-in), and only so they can provide those services.
Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect Scout Elite from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections. To remove the information itself, delete your Scout Elite account (see "Retention and Deletion").
Sign in with Apple
If you sign in with Apple, Apple shares your name and email address (or a private relay address if you choose to hide your email). We use them in the same limited ways described for Google above.
How We Use Information
- To provide the services: sign-in, syncing and backing up your games, showing your content and what others share with you, and sending notifications you've allowed.
- To understand usage and fix problems.
- To communicate with you about your account, shares and invitations, and updates.
We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Service Providers
We use service providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it: hosting and database, video storage and delivery, sign-in (including Apple and Google sign-in), usage analytics (Google Analytics), crash reporting, push notifications, payment processing and email delivery. They may not use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How We Protect Information
Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and our database is encrypted at rest. Database access rules limit each account to its own content and what others have shared with it. Only the people who operate Scout Elite can access the systems that hold your data, and only to run and support the services.
Retention and Deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account in Scout Elite Live (Profile > Delete account) or at xpress.scout-elite.com/account/delete. We end your sessions right away and delete your account and its content, including any information received from Google or Apple, within 30 days. Games tracked without an account stay only on your phone.
Your Choices and Rights
You can view and edit your profile in your account settings, turn off usage stats in Scout Elite Live, and delete your account at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@scout-elite.com.
Children's Privacy
The services are intended for users 13 and older. Accounts for younger athletes must be managed by a coach, parent or guardian.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also let account holders know by email or in the app.
